Credit Notes issued through the Receipt Hub

If you enter a negative amount in the Receipt Hub detail screen, Quick File allows you to automatically nominate the bank account and lodge a refund. We’ve now extended this area to also cater for credit notes held on account, see the new highlighted radio option.

This is applicable when a supplier may issue a credit note for future use that may be applied to an invoice raised later. Any balance held on account in this way will show on the supplier detail screen, under the credit section.

How can you do the same for a client?
They had overpaid and want a refund to bank.
If I do it as refund the invoice gets tagged as refunded which is not the case as I need to be able to refund the
Account Credit.
Help much appreciated.

The Receipt Hub can only be used for supplier related activity. If you’re issuing your client a refund you can just open the new purchase screen, enter a negative amount and save, you will then be prompted to nominate the bank account to refund from. After you’ve done this if you wish you can attach any supporting documents to the credit note preview screen.
