I understand it’s not possible to re-import contacts (Importing Clients Again) and that you check for duplicates but:

  1. What are the fields you check on for duplicate records?
  2. Would it be possible that where a selected field matches (eg Account) the other fields are updated?
    or
  3. could we have an option to do an update rather than create on the whole file (skip missing records rather than skip duplicates)

I think incorporating updates into the CSV import is risky in terms of accidental corruption. Not only that but technically it’s quite difficult in terms of building in all the validation to prevent duplicates.
