From around 10:10 am BST we have been subjected to a significant Denial of Service Attack (DDoS). This attack was designed to disable connectivity and cause harm to our business. We are unsure of the origins and motive behind the attack, although at this stage our primary concern is to restore service.
We would just like to take this opportunity to reassure users that this attack has in no way resulted in the loss of any data, nor has it compromised our security. It was designed with the sole purpose to flood our network and thereby overload our servers, denying access to genuine users.
We have now placed our network behind a DDoS mitigation service. However due to the changes in our public IP space and the need to reissue certificates, there will be some delay as these changes propagate across the web.
