Please can you help… I stupidly locked my year end as 31/05/2014 and it should have been the 30/4/2014, can someone tell me how to unlock this?

You can achieve this by either deleting the Year-End journal
or by changing the Account Lock Date in the main account settings area.
Hi Peter,
No it should read 30/4/14. I first went at locked it for the 31/5/14 and then I did my year end journals to the end of 30/4/14, so does this mean that it has corrected itseld as to the correct year end date of the 30/4/14?
Do you know a way for me to check this?

Many typing errors was in a rush whilst answering you… may answer why I did it wrong in the first place.
Yes I was asked not to lock last years accounts but have now, this is why the date is for 2014 and not 2015.

Well currently your lock is set as 30/04/2014, so hopefully you managed to update this correctly.
