VAT submission failed

Hi,

As I am new to VAT submission (used accountant till now) maybe I am missing something.

I tried to file for this quarter and realised that I needed to file for the previous quarter to get the correct figures for this quarter as I have not yet filed via quickfile.
The previous quarter seemed to file, no problem. But when I tried to file for this quarter I got this:-
Vat return submission to HMRC failed.
By Gateway : Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service.

This would generally mean that one of the following is incorrect:

• VAT Number
• Username
• Password
• You are not enrolled on the Government Gateway for submitting VAT returns

Try using the same credentials you entered into QF on the [HMRC VAT online website].(HM Revenue & Customs: Service unavailable)

Generally, just double check all your details and make sure everything matches with with HMRC
