Account No missing from Sales_Invoice_Items.CSV Backup

The Sales_Invoice_Items.csv file in the backup does not give the Account Number for the Customer.

This causes me a huge problem in importing this data into my client records. I have to manually add this for every item sold.

Is there a way I can add this? Otherwise, I may need to either invoice directly from the client database and API over to Quickfile or simply jump ship to another solution.

Hi @JewelLabel

Do you mean the account reference you give your clients? If so, this can be found in the Client_Ledger.csv file.

Matthew,

Thanks for the reply.

I have all the clients in the database. What I need is this related to each line of the invoice so I can link the stock movements to the customers to give a complete customer history. As you can see from below, I’m missing that essential item when I import the sales_invoice_line csv:-

Hello Marcus

The sales account ref is not stored at item level. It would be included in the sales_invoice.csv and linked via the INVOICE_ID to the item lines.

Hi Steve,

Yes, I see that, but it doesn’t give the Account Number – only the Account Name and that’s not a guaranteed match.

If the Invoices.CSV had that account number then I could link it.

Marcus.

Hello Marcus

If the Invoices.CSV had that account number then I could link it.

Unfortunately its not how the data is structured sales account ref is stored at a client level (Clients_Ledger)

Its not something we are looking to change in the near future, If you wish you could raise a feature request, that way other users can add their vote, if there is enough popularity we would make the changes.

Steve,

Thanks for the feedback. My year end is in December and I’ll manage until then with a three-way lookup prior to import. Details to header to get client name and invoice header to client to get the client code but after that I’ll take over invoicing within the database as QuickFile doesn’t do inventory control it’s not really cutting it anyway.

Regards,

Marcus.
