I have just logged in and a message says my account is over the free limit and is now chargeable I am self employed with only minor requirements so not sure what has caused this, can it be reversed to make it fit back in the limits or is that it now after 14 days pay or go? I dont know why it thinks I am a large company very odd
Hi,
If you have created 1000 or more ledger entries, which could be around 200 to 250 invoices (sales and purchases) then you are over the threshold for a free account. You can check this on your account setting page.
If you wait for a while, without entering anything, and the counted number falls below the 1000 then your account will be a free account again.
Hope this helps
It is listed as over 1000 entries I have not had chance to see what they all are but a self employed person classed as a large company seems odd I assume that hardly anybody is going to fit into the free section as the limits are too low as I have not had that many invoices or purchases.
It also matters when you input the invoices and purchase orders, I have just input 21 months worth so i can do my ye2022 return as well as get me up to date with my 2023 return, All of this data is taken as being input over the last 2 weeks not spread over the last 21 months. So if you have been doing some catching up like me this could account for it.
I do agree the numbers are a bit on the low side, I am also self employed and according to QF I am now an XL user, another point is that the cash basis system that most smaller users use is only on the paid for product I find that will force some of the smallest users to pay so i see very few small businesses falling in to the free category.
