Adding a reserves nominal code to a sum in the main account

Hi,

I have transferred a sum of £5K from one account to our main bank account in QF to reflect the actual bank balance.

I want to mark this sum with a reserves nominal code which I have added using the Chart of Accounts so that it is clear that this sum is reserved for a specific use.

I can’t see how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

It is not possible to mark funds for a specific use.

If it has been transferred into the main account it should be tagged with where it came from.

You could transfer the money out of your main bank into another account (such as a savings pot) but you would only do this usually if this has happened in real life.
