Adjusting a direct debit request

Once an invoice has been raised and a request to collect by DD is made, can the amount requested be altered if a mistake has been made in the amount requested or the order has changed before the DD is collected. If so do I have to issue a credit note or can I simply modify the invoice and will this tell go cardless to collect the new modified amount?

Unfortunately you’re not able to amend the amount to be collected through QuickFile once it’s been requested, but you may be able to do this through GoCardless itself. If not, you can cancel the request via GoCardless and re-request the correct amend by amending the invoice and following the steps as you did before.
