OK - I have Affinity and wish to invite a new client to download and use the Quickfile app. I can see his account (and others) through my master Affinity email and password while he can log into Affinity with his own email and own password, which obviously is set up so he can only see his account. However, his email and password do not then allow him to get into the Quickfile App. Sorry, I can’t get my head around what needs to be done here. Register in the QF App seems to be for completely new accounts, so Login is therefore the most intuitive. Or have I totally got hold of the wrong end of the stick!
Rather than setting up his account on your affinity dashboard and him access his account from there, you could set up his login via the team management section of the specific QuickFile account.
Sorry that’s actually how I did set up his access, didn’t explain too well.
Or maybe I’m mistaken, it has been a long day. I will re-visit it tomorrow.
Yes Ian you were correct and the QF App now works - tried it on one of my own companies. So my Bookkeeper/ Client Workflow is:
- Bookkeeper (BKR) creates Limited Company for Client
2, Adds the Limited Company to BKR Affinity Account - BKR opens Limited Company from Affinity
- Within that Limited Company, BKR opens Team Management from Account Settings
- Adds a new team member and puts the Client details including Client email
- Client then receives invite to login, with password
- Can then use login and password to access the Quickfile App, as well as the account itself.
