What happened was I invoiced the client back in October for goods and they paid the invoice but I’d made an error but as the payment was tagged and allocated the programe gave me an option to put a prepayment on the clients account. I now have the prepayment showing when I look in the clients account but how do I now tag it to the correct invoice so it shows as paid?
If you go into the relevant invoice (which needs paying) and click log payment you will get the option to use the prepayment as shown below
