I have been using QuickFile for a while but my business has been dormant for a year or so - therefore have submitted zero returns - and I am now reactivating it.
Having entered purchases data for the Jul - Sep period, I have found that it is not pulling through into the corresponding VAT return for submission. Instead it is pulling through for the subsequent submission due in January 26.
I have checked the dates on the purchase records and they are within the Jul - Sep time period so am left scratching my head. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?
Are you on cash accounting, If so the return would be looking at the payment dates (the tax point).
If you have entered the payment dates in October they would not fall into the Jul - Sep period as the tax point is in October meaning it would be due on the following return.
If you have entered the payment dates incorrectly, you can change them in the banking screen.
