Backspace not working in custom reports formula box for Firefox

I was playing with the custom reports earlier and did the following.

Clicked the ‘show all’ at the side of the nominal code lookup box.
Selected 4000:4999 - All Sales.
Dragged & dropped this into the formula box.

Now I can’t edit or delete the entry in the formula box.

Obviously I can delete and recreate this line but I don’t think I should have been able to break it by doing this.

Actually, now I have created a new report it seems that I can’t use cursor keys or backspace in the formula box. I think I need to look into this a little deeper.

If it helps, half way through typing a formula yesterday, the same happened to me.

That was in firefox.

I thought it was just me

Also using FF 29.0.1 on W7 x64.

Glad it’s not just me!

I can’t really replicate this problem (on Chrome). I typed in sales, clicked the menu option for 4000:4999 - All Sales, then dragged the contents of the helper box into the formula box, I can then delete the - All Sales suffix and save.

Will try in Firefox now.

EDIT:

Yep, looks like a Firefox issue. We’re using JQuery UI to do this so I will check to see if there are any known issues over there.

Hi @Glenn

I’ve just tried this again, and it works fine in Chrome, it’s just Firefox (I’m using 28.0 on W7 x64, did previously try this on FF 29 on W XP).

It’s specifically this box which is a bit stubborn:

Edit: I think you must have edited your post as I was posting this

Yes it seems that it’s nothing to do with the drag and drop part, it’s just on FireFox it’s ignoring the backspace button in that box whereas on Chrome it actually registers it. Will look into this further.

@Lurch @Parker1090 should be fixed now :+1:

Backspace seems to be all ok now - ‘Delete’ doesn’t!

Actually @Glenn, the keyboard arrows don’t work either

We have to manually declare every control key we don’t want to filter out. I will have a look at the arrows and delete keys.

OK try now, we added all cursor keys + delete.

OK, cursor, delete and backspace now work. Any chance of making Ctrl + A + C + V usable in the box also?

We’ve added them to the filter but it won’t go live until next deployment now (early next week).
