Hi, is there any way I can remove a bad debt write off without leaving a marker? I’ve need to get rid of the bad debt completely before adding it back as its throwing out the balance sheet figures.
Hi @Mushroom
Unfortunately not at this time. There will always be a trace left for the bad debt and its reversal.
Markers wouldn’t cause the balance sheet to be thrown out. An incorrect amount might do that.
Its definitely not the amounts, the aged debtors report was showing a correct figure whereas the balance sheet wasn’t. Its the markers on the bad debt, its related to the dates the bad debt relate to v part payments.
I’ve discovered the bad debt can be removed by deleting then restoring the invoice, deleting it removes the bad debt whereas cancelling the bad debt doesn’t. Both the balance sheet and aged debtors report match up now.
