Dear Support team
I have installed the bank feed plugin but I have 2 problems:
1st, on HSBC bank page, the quickfile plugin header menu doesn’t appear at all. I can see it in quickfile page, but it asks for lon in. And if I put my quick file login details, they are invalid. If I try to create login details with the quickfile e-mail address, it’s telling the address is already used.
Please let me know what I’m doing wrong.
Thank you!
Can you please confirm you are accessing a HSBC business account (not personal)? You should see the QuickFile banner on the following link.
From here you’d click on the settings button in the banner and key in your HSBC credentials. The banner disappears once logged in and an “Export to QuickFile” button should be visible adjacent to the regular bank statement export options.
Hope that helps!
Yes, we are using business HSBC. I do not have an private account with them. HSBC has recently changed their interface. In this new interface, there is absolutely no banner or button.
I have access to an account with the new interface (not sure if they’ve all been switched over?).
The QuickFile bar appears on the initial log in page without any issues. Once I’ve entered the details and clicks “Login”, it will take me as far as the business selection page and the bar will disappear. After I select the business, it’s at this point the new interface is loaded for me, and I can navigate to a statement and “Export to Quick File”.
If you’re not seeing the initial QuickFile bar from my screenshot above, do you have any plug ins installed that may be interfering with it? Do you access HSBC via the QuickFile plug in, or go there directly?
Yes, it worked. The button appeared down to the statements.
Thank you!
But I cannot see them in our bank account in quickfile!
Although I got an message that bank statements were successfully exported to quickfile.
The feed itself imports the transactions to a holding area so you can verify the date range before doing a final import - it helps prevent any accidental clicks of the export button on the bank itself.
Once you export from the bank, it takes a few minutes to process and then it appears in the holding area. It appears as a notification on your account dashboard in the top right hand corner (where ‘overdue invoices’ alerts etc. are shown).
