Bank Tagging (click to pay) link

Whilst trying to tag bank transactions to invoices posted the “Click to pay” button doesn’t work. The only way I can reconcile these is to 1. “Pay down multiple invoices or assign to a supplier account”; 2. Allocate to Supplier; 3. then click on the specific invoice and then save.

I think something is broken on the link.

Hi @Richard2

Am I right in assuming the ‘click to pay’ button is the ‘tag me!’ button?

If you are able to give me an example of an invoice you are trying to tag (and your account number), I’ll certainly take a look for you.

Hi,

Yes. I click the tag me button. and then a pop-up window comes up where it matches payments to invoices raised (where the amounts and date range match). I try and click “Click to pay” but it doesn’t “click”. Instead, I have to go down the route as if it hasn’t matched it and then allocate it as I previously described.

Thanks

Hi @Richard2

Are you able to supply me with an account number and invoice number please, and I’ll take a quick look for you?

The “click to pay” link triggers a popup confirmation, and on some browsers JavaScript popups include a little checkbox saying “prevent this page from creating additional dialogs”. If you have accidentally clicked that in the past then future confirmation popups will be blocked, resulting in the behaviour you’re seeing.

If you close the tab (or possibly the whole browser) and re-open it then the popups should come back.

I think @ian_roberts explanation is the most likely!

We are also slowly replacing these native browser alerts with integrated alternatives to get around this problem. I’ll recommend this particular action is looked at.

@ian_roberts and Glenn. Thanks so much. That has fixed the issue.
