Barclays feeds made inactive after three error messages

Please can i request that you allow a bit longer before the bank feeds are made inactive?
As you know the ‘page idle’ error happens quite a lot and most of the times its nothing to do with incorrect login information. I would suggest that you give it at least twice as much before making the feeds inactive.

if i may ask, what was the reasoning behind this feature - why not leave it as it is?

It’s there to prevent account locks. If we doubled it we’d probably end up with a lot more people complaining that QF has locked their account. We always err on the side of caution.

That said in some cases every account generates a ‘page idle’ error on a specific day, e.g. when Barclays are down for maintenance (which they often do in the early hours). In these cases, when we know the cause, we are going to start removing the errors in bulk.

I’m sorry to say that bank feeds are a very imprecise science, we want the banks to provide a full API… to which end I would definitely add your vote here.

@LMN only pin sentry option available on that account. The memorable word and passcode probably needs to be reset as it’s currently disabled.
