Cannot get my Quickfile to connect to HMRC for VAT returns

I have tried 3 times now and still get a ‘failed’ message when I try to connect Quickfile to HMRC to complete VAT returns.

I have checked the VAT registration number is correct. MTD is now automatic VAT accounts so there is no additional way of signing up for that, and I am authorised to work on the VAT section of the company’s HMRC gateway.

I am stuck. Any ideas of what else I can try?

The failure to connect message comes from the HMRC gateway.

Other than disconnecting all HMRC accounts and reconnecting we have no control over access to your HMRC account.

If you are sure you have connected the correct account (the companies, not a personal account) you would need to contact HMRC to resolve this.
