Change Estimate Status

I’m not sure if this is a bug or intended functionality.

Once you’ve changed the status to Accepted, you can’t change it to Rejected. Furthermore, unless you delete it, it stays in the Accepted status.

What if a client cancels it?

We need to be able to change status.

Also, we need a status of CANCELLED.

Furthermore, if it’s rejected, it should be able to be changed to ACCEPTED if the client calls back.

Needless to say, we’re using Estimates as sales orders.

I believe it was designed that way, I.e. to allow status change only in DRAFT mode for manually accepting/declining.

I will make a recommendation for this to be reviewed to allow for greater flexibility.

We have now loosened the control around changing the status for estimates. You can now easily switch between agreed, declined and draft.

We haven’t been able to bring in a ‘CANCELLED’ status. I would suggest instead deleting cancelled estimates, they aren’t physically deleted and you can still access and revert them by applying the deleted filter on the main list.
