We have recently had our accounting date changed from 31/3 to 31/8. We will have a long accounting period ( 17 months) for the current year. Is there a way of registering this with QF so that when we come to close off the year it will close of the full period of transactions rather than just 12 months to the new date.
Yes, change the accounting period end within quickfile to 31/8/22 and this will also set the year end for 31/8/21
Thanks Paul. I did this in ‘basic settings’ of ‘company settings’. What I want to ensure is that when I do the year end procedure it will pick up all transactions from 1/4/20 (our last March year end) to 31/8/21. Do you think it will. Note that I have already closed off the year ended 31/3/20
I’m actually not sure if quickfile will run from last year end and over 12 months so might be best for admin to answer.
