Changed to VAT rate, part paid an invoice - can I claim the VAT back?

I have another question for you all :slight_smile:

So, I’m paying for some equipment over 12 months, I entered the original full invoice at the start of the payment term into QF, and tag a partial payment each month when it leaves my bank account. I have moved to flat rate part way through paying for these. Am I still able to claim the VAT on this? If not, how do I change the invoice part way through please?

I have separated this post into a new topic to help keep things clear :slight_smile:

I’m assuming the invoice would have the VAT rate saved to it (likely to be 20%) when it was originally posted. I’m not sure if you can continue to claim or not, but when it comes to the VAT return a manual adjustment may be needed.

I would seek advice from an accountant to make sure that you are doing it correctly.
