Closure of business

Hi. I will no longer be trading as of next week but still need access to my accounts in order to do year end and self-assessment later in the year. I have done a back up of all my data but still need access for myself and my accountant. Also I intend to start a new business within the next couple of months- will I need to open a new Quickfile account? Many thanks

We don’t delete accounts unless they’re unused for 2 years. Even before we take any action, we will email every team member 3 times.

In regards to another business, are you a sole trader or limited company? If it’s a limited company, you would need a new QuickFile account to keep it all separate.
With a sole trader, although there’s no legal requirement to separate this (as legally, the owner and the business are the same entity), it may be best to open a new account to keep it separate and keep a clear audit trail.
