Create Custom Menu across separate devices

It appears that when I create custom menu items on one device (IOS) and then log in with the same user on another device (Windows) that the custom menu items are not retained.

After creating a new link on Windows all the previous menu items appeared!

But now back on IOS only the original links are present!

The custom side menu is really inconsistent. Adding or removing items on different devices do get updated on the second device unless you force something to update by adding something!

There is an element of caching here which is likely to be the cause of the delay in updating.
