Customising return email address

Hi
Is it possible to customise the return email address? I currently have clients asking me if its actually me thinking i’m a fake spammer or hacker where the return email looks a bit like this gobbledegook_875329840975@post.quickfile dot co dot uk.

I wonder if this is also why often the invoices go to customers spam folder.

I look forward to your reply

If you want to use your own email as the “from” address then you need to configure QuickFile to use your own SMTP server.

Hi Ian

Thank you for your swift response. It’s not the from I have an issue with I don’t think… I have set up the from as chersfunkyfaces@gmail.com port 25. I think thats correct.

This is what my customers are replying to https://photos.app.goo.gl/fEqoJS1Cq4aMvFo19

Is this how it should be so you can route it or is this customisable or am I doing something wrong (probable!)

If you look at the return path… The bit that says post.quickfile.

That is because you are sending out your invoices through the quickfile server.

If you have your own email eg sarah@funkypunky.com then you can configure quickfile to send its invoices using your server

We do this and it is IMHO the best feature of QF because (last time I checked) its top 3 competitors do not let you do this which is why we switched
