I have a client who has experienced the same result as that shown in this short thread regarding the untagging and subsequent auto-deletion of a bank entry.
Can you confirm that thius issue still exists as the thread appears to have puit it on the development list quite a few years ago.
This change was never implemented so if the transaction is created by the tagging then if the tagging is undone the transaction will be deleted along with it.
