just file my VAT return and also tried to file the ECSL.
In the configuration I have entered the same login credentials for VAT and ECSL
VAT went through no problem
ECSL did not go through with a ‘EC Sales submission to HMRC failed. By Gateway : Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service.’
Are there different credentials for VAT and EC Sales submission?

Normally it would be the same credentials, but it’s worth checking your HMRC account directly. If you log in on the HMRC website using the saved credentials, are you presented with the option to file the ECSL there?
Yes, I get both options VAT and ECSL.
That is way I’m confused as the VAT return was submitted and the ECSL caused an authentication error …
The authentication error is returned to us by HMRC, so the details are failing with their process.
Is your postcode (and if applicable, branch number) also correct on your VAT settings? Has it worked previously?
