hello,
I am sure there is an accounting word for this, but i do not know what it is called and therefore unable to search the forum for it!
Is it possible to generate an estimate with several jobs (some time and parts) but only have a total cost? The idea is to provide a total cost of the jobs and not a breakdown which may seem a bit silly, but in this instance the cost would be for all the jobs on the estimate to be completed and not give the client the choice of picking and choosing individual jobs for a price which wouldn’t be viable for me to do individually.
Not sure if my requirement is clear?
Thanks for reading!
Do you mean supply one overall cost for a couple of items together, rather than:
Item 1 - £x.xx
Item 2 - £x.xx
etc.
If so, you could just enter them like this?
screenshot shows both time and item based lines

hi, thanks for the prompt reply. I do, but is it possible to leave out the rate and hours? i.e a list of items with one total
The screenshot above shows the 2 types of lines you can enter. You can use one or the other, or both.

I suppose the thing you could do is remove that column using CSS, but that would apply to all estimates then.
Not 100% sure that would even work mind you - would depend on how it’s all set up. I’ve not got access to it at the moment, but if I have a few minutes later I’ll have a look for you and let you know if it works
