Estimate Link Access

Hi

I have sent the link in an email to a contractor within a company expecting that the link gave access to the estimate only. When I have tried the copy and paste link it provides full access to the customers dashboard showing all the invoices and transactions. Is there a way to stop this link as it is out their now?

How can I overcome this problem?

Just curious. But why do you not want them to have access to their own client control panel?

Unfortunately it’s not possible for them to login to view just one invoice or estimate. The link logs the client in as a whole so they will be able to view any estimates and/or invoices allocated to them.

I sent this link out to an employee in the company as they were the lead in the project, They should not have access to the whole accounting dashboard.

Can I turn off this link as embarrassingly I have sent it out to the project leader who is en employee and should not have access to confidential financial documents as well?

There are 2 things you could do here.

  1. Enforce login. This would prompt the user to enter a password when they view any link. This can be enabled by modifying the client (there’s a tick box to enable this). It would apply to all contacts however.

  2. Revoke access to individual contacts. You would need to amend the contact and change their email address. This will reveal a “revoke access” tick box, which stops any issued links for that contact from working. You can change the email address back once you’ve done this.
