Good evening. While trying to create an estimate via the app I have noticed that it doesn’t create a new blank estimate. When I hit the + button it brings up the last estimate you’ve created with the old customer details and the items. You’ve then to amend these details so that it creates the estimate how you want it with correct customer and then edit the items or delete them. Is this a hiccup or is this standard?
Most of the time I do them on the Mac. This time as I was sitting in the car waiting so I thought I would use my time productively.
Can you shed some light on this. Is it a bug?

Hi @drew4,

Can I ask what device you are using and the version of the app? I have just tested on my Android phone and it brings up a blank estimate each time, so i’m unable to replicate

Might this be some sort of autofill issue? I have several things on my phone that get autofilled by the OS, but it isn’t always that clear where this data comes from you just get a form with details in it in front of you!

Hi Beth I’m using iPhone 11. version of app is 2.0.54.257
When I click + to create new invoice it doesn’t do this it asks at the top who it is for.
Ive just tried again to create estimate and it has brought up the last customer and the item details. This is the new details I over typed after I amended them from the first issue. Different customers each time.
I have just created two separate invoices via the app and both times the new page is blank awaiting info to put in. So it can’t be a auto fill as this would carry info from the estimate details to the invoice but it shows blank info ready for you to complete.
What I will do is delete the app and reload to see if this sorts the issue.

update.
Ive deleted app from phone. Loaded it again and logged out. then logged in… Still showing same details on the estimate page on app version. The last customer details appeared with the details underneath.

Hi @drew4

We’ve just done a test on this app version, but we haven’t been able to replicate the issue unfortuately.

Just to confirm:

  • You create a new estimate
  • Continue through to the details screen
  • Press back (twice) to go back to the main screen
  • Create another new estimate
  • Fields are populated with the first created estimate data

Is that correct?
