We recently purchased euros from the Post Office onto a travel card (converting sterling to euros) Via the quickfile system we created a post office account tagged the payment from our current account to the post office account. We believe we have matched all payments but on review of the balance sheet there appears to be a £17.84 balance which we believe will be exchange differences during the period. We have tried transferring this between the post office account and the current account but have been unable to do so as it creates a balance. Please can you explain how we clear the balance currently on the balance sheet?
