As you will see from the attached picture, I sent an invoice for 990 Euros. I have a Euro bank account, so when I received the full payment, I logged it as “Paid in Full” (as a Bank Transfer). However, I am seeing that there is a “Realised” currency variation of £113.43 (GBP). Never had this before. I’ve checked that the itemisation on the invoice was done in Euros - it was. Does anyone have any idea?
The problem is that this Realised currency variation is affecting my Tax Summary, so is meaning that my tax estimations are underestimated.
Hi,
It looks like you paid the euro invoice in £ but used the same amount (990). At the moment 990 EUR are roughly £878 which matches about the £113. Did you pay the invoice from £ bank account, if so, what amount is recorded in your bank account?
I can see on your account you have a euro invoice with 1.00 as the exchange rate and the euro payment with 1.1294 as exchange rate, that’s what would cause the Realised Currency Variation.
I assume the invoice should not have an exchange rate of 1.00
