Frequent email SMTP deactivations

I am receiving this error every few days and I need to continually re-configure SMTP.

I believe this is caused because the smtp.office365.com service is quite unreliable. I have checked in my Exchange online settings and there doesn’t seem to be anything blocking the QuickFile IP or blocking based on bulk email rules.

Is there any way to make the timeouts or retries more lenient?

We have been unable to send a number of items through your own custom SMTP email server. The last 3 consecutive attempts failed. The error recorded is as follows:

Email: accounts@xxx.org Error: One or more errors occurred. → Failed to send mail 16712961 via SMTP host ‘smtp.office365.com’. Reference: ‘6131440928’; SenderEmail: ‘accounts@xxx.org’; Recipients: ‘xxx@xxx.co.uk’; Num. Attachments: ‘0’. → The operation has timed out.

Please return to the SMTP settings page on your QuickFile account (Account Settings Area). If you have recently changed your email password or any other credentials please update and reactivate your SMTP services accordingly.

Hi @Nick_Ryan

You’re certainly not alone in using Office 365 as the SMTP provider, but we’re not seeing any widespread issues.

Do you use this set up elsewhere, such as your own emails? Do you encounter any issues or errors there?
