I need to get break down of sales per customer per month!
How can I either get the data to manipulate it in Excel or generate the report

This may be possible, depending on how your account is set up.
Are General Sales, Engineer Time and Hardware Sales separate nominals?
You can get a P&L breakdown of these based on project tag, but no client. What you could do however is create a project tag per client. If you haven’t already done this (some users may have), you could add them in bulk.
But there isn’t a built in way of doing this from the outset.
It makes sense but not a great solution!
I will look at the backup data or build something from the API.
Would be a useful report I think for multiple business. Working out profitability and client costs!
We do have nominal codes for all sales types.
The issue with us doing this at a API level is that we will need to get all the invoice items to collate enough info which will mean significant calls via the API.
I don’t think the project tag route will work for us. We do use this in other places (actual projects).
we have a lot of monthly contracts for various services as well as capex sales. We are trying to work out ow much turnover we make from each of these clients and which clients are not profitable enough.
