Gocardless visa debit card

I had been under the assumption that my customers could use their debit cards with the Gocardless facility is have setup for direct debits. One customer says they have used their debit card to make a payment in the past. Yesterday a customer urgently wanted to make a payment so i told them to use GC. Unforntunatley we could not find any way to enter the debit card details and only got a form to fill in bank and direct debit information. Does this mean that GC cannot take debit cards and that I will need to use another payment processor to handle this?

That’s correct. GoCardless doesn’t process any cards - they’re only direct debits.

We do allow Stripe integrations which would allow you to accept credit and debit cards, so that may be one worth looking at. You can set this up by going to Account Settings >> Manage Payment Options.
