Grant payment for R and D

We have received 2 Grant payments for R & D projects.

How do we account for the grant payments ?

Also would it be possible to have an R & D category to file the original R & D purchases under - at the moment they are under Misc purchases.

how do we account for the grant payments ?

I’d either put them as miscellaneous income or create a new nominal code under the sales section for them.

Again, you can create your own nominal codes from the chart of accounts if the default options don’t meet your needs.
