Hi
Ive just had my VAT return rejected as Im not inputting my acocunts in Quickfile. Im a small business and use other old fashioned methods with a mate who does my accounts.
I have a nil return this time round and my only input is expenses under the Total value of purchases (£318)
How on earth do I get this to work please and submit my VAT return
Thanks
Hello @CDLH
I just had a look at your account and I can see you submitted a bridging return for 1 Jun 2022 - 31 Aug 2022.
Please be aware you can only submit your first Bridging return without a subscription and a subscription is required for your next one (you will see the message below when you try and generate a new return).
If you enter and store your transactions in QuickFile
QuickFile is free up to the first 1000 nominal postings in a rolling 12 month period then £45 (£60 from 01/11/2022) per year after that.
This includes MTD submissions and is simple to use.
More information on pricing can be found in the link below.
QuickFile Pricing.
If you choose to enter your transactions into QuickFile you will need to go to Reports > Vat Returns > Settings and untick “Bridging Module”
If you choose to continue doing Bridging Returns you will need to purchase a subscription, you can do this by clicking on your company name in the top right of the screen and selecting “Services/Subscriptions”
