Hello all, got a message from QF informing me HMRC connection is expiring in a month.
Connected to HMRC …we have a number of logins, unfortunately logged into the wrong account, clicked for reauthorise…went back to QF and it said reauthorise failed.
I went to the correct account on HMRC and it only has (remove authorisation).
I went back into the first account (wrong one and cancelled authorisation).
I can only assume HMRC would have been looking to connect that account in the next 24 hours..
We made a cock up…lots of agro today and made a big mistake.
What I need to know is how we can get QF to prompt the reauthorisation tab again….then we can hopefully get another 18 months connection…

Hello @Max-Bodger
It looks like you managed it
Here are the instruction for the benefit of any other users.
You can go into Reports > HMRC and disconnect the account (red cross).
The reconnect from the same screen
Hello QF, I went into the first HMRC account and deleted the connection.
Came out of QF and wrote the message…went back into QF and noticed the message had changed.
I went into the HMRC account we should have used and saw the authorisation prompt and we had connection again…Think I was a little lucky QF did actively update so it made it easier…
I even messaged the accountant and got nothing back….If you aren’t a little bit switched on today…find a desert island…off grid might be the best option…

I am trying to link my ASA accounts with Quickfile, 18 month expired, it appears the following message: HMRC authentication error.
Hello @Silmara
I have merged your query with this topic
Please give the above a try, if it still fails you would need to contact HMRC directly.
