I have just sorted my overdue VAT return and now I can’t submit it due to HMRC downtime. Roll on tomorrow. @thorn in my side

Hopefully the maintenance will all be resolved by 4pm today. Unfortuantely this is all out of our control but it may be worth getting in touch with HMRC if you are worried about any late fees

Thank you. I completely understand that it’s out of your control. i will wait until 4pm and hopefully submit the VAT return then. It was due in on the 7th July. Time has been against me on this one anyway and it’s been impossible to work in the heat; as well as having a few hindering medical conditions which are exasperated by the heat 
I may get in touch with them 
i will see how it goes today with the submission.
