How do I set up a none banking asset like opening stock in Quick-file. Do I have to do it using journal transaction.?

I think for opening stock you would need to do a journal. I have found this answer on the forums from a previous similar question. You may find this works for you too? Entering an Opening Stock Balance for the beginning of year
