Import Wages Journals

Hi,

I have wages journals in a spreadsheet that I would like to import into quickfile, however I can’t see that I can do this. I can see import Suppliers,Customers,Invoices,TB etc but no process for importing journals.

There is a feature request for this, please feel free to add your vote.

Import journal

Logging the request for an import journal function. If this was slick enough, it would allow the product to be used in bigger businesses with journal outputs from other systems. I know that there is a workaround with importing a tb but this isn’t really the same thing. thanks

I really really want this and am surprised that this not feature as pretty fundamental IMO but as it has been a feature request for seven years and has only garnered 10 votes I suspect it won’t be implement.

Those things you can import are one offs that you would use when transferring over to QF from another accounting software where as I could imagine importing journals frequently.

There’s no feature directly in QuickFile for importing journals (other than the initial trial balance) but I put together a Google Sheet a few years ago that can do it using the API. The initial one-time setup is a bit fiddly but once it’s configured you can import your journal spreadsheet as a new sheet within the Google workbook and import it in a few clicks.
