Is there any way that a cc list can be (or could be) included with invoices when they are mailed out? This list could be presented on the invoice or the covering e-mail.
The reason I ask is that I often send e-mails to my client contact and also their accounts department. Inevitably they then each ask me if I have sent the e-mail to the other party. It wastes my time and theirs.
It would be great if a cc list could be included with the invoice so that all recipients know who has received it. Then everyone would know who has received the e-mail & invoice.
For the time being, I am going to use the “Additional Notes” for each invoice to communicate this. An automated solution would be great though.
There already is a way to send an invoice to multiple recipients and also CC yourself. All you need to do is ensure any recipient is listed as a contact for the company in question.
When sending an invoice you can then just tick the recipients you want to send the invoice to.
I think that you have missed the point Glenn. At the moment each recipient gets an individual email and can’t tell if they are the only recipient or if we have included others in their organisation. This can lead to a variety of misunderstandings.
It isn’t a major issue for us but it is definitely on my “nice to have” list.
OK yes I see the point now…Trying to do to many things at once
I can’t see any problem implementing something like this and I certainly see it being useful in a number of cases. For now I’ve noted this in our development planner.
I will update this thread, as soon as this has been looked at.
We have now updated the send routine to include a list of CC’d recipients. Whenever there are multiple recipients for a given invoice, the CC list will be appended.
Glenn, that is absolutely terrific, a very swift response and much appreciated. I look forward to trying it out - are there an specific instructions for going this or is the lest appended automatically?
Quickfile is fast becoming the best thing since sliced bread. I don’t know what I would do without it!
