Incorporating PAYE income into self-employed accounts

Hello

Please could someone assist me with: how do I incorporate income that I have earned as a part time PAYE into the accounts for myself, usually being self-employed.

Many thanks.
Paul

Hi Paul,

Work that is done as an employee shouldn’t be included in your self employment accounts (you may end up being taxed twice!)

I notice you mention both PAYE income you’ve earned part time, but you’ve also said that you have earned this from being self-employed. Were you given a payslip for the work you done, or did you invoice them?

Income from PAYE dont get recorded on self employment business records , they just go on self assessment tax return

Hi QF Support

Many thanks for your reply - am waiting for a salary slip and understand I should keep PAYE income separate from self-employed accounting.

Again thanks for taking the time to reply.

Best wishes
Paul

Hi FaradayKeynes

Many thanks for your reply.

I will ensure the two are kept separate.

Best wishes
