Inputting dates with a short year when marking payments

Hi there,

Not sure whether this is a bug or a feature…

When you create invoices or purchases, you can put a date similar to 1/1/16 but when you click to tag/mark a payment for an invoice it says you must put in a date like 1/1/2016. It’s only a tiny thing but the pop up box must have come up at least 25 times saying ‘please input full date’ as I’ve done it in short by accident over and over.

Only a little problem, but just one of those niggles.

Thanks - Sam

Hi Sam,

I’ve had a look at this, and it seems to accept 8/1/2016 but not the shortened year. I’ll mention this to a colleague and see if this is something that could be changed.

Thanks very much.

Sam.

This has been logged on our internal system. Will check and update you shortly.

Just a quick one to confirm that this has been fixed.

The date you enter in the payment section will now support entry in the format dd/mm/yy to match the validation used on the “Receipt date” box.

I notice this is marked as solved but is it something that can be widened to be done across all date entry screens? Just hit a similar issue when testing something out in the dynamic variables sandbox. I know this issue crops up here and there from time to time.
