Invoice discount but not on carriage

Hi Guys

I would like to give a discount on my products that I supply to some customers but not on VAT or Carriage all I have seen gives a discount on all items including carriage if I add it to my invoice please advise.

There are 2 discount options in QuickFile:

  • Overall discount: This would apply a flat discount across the whole invoice

  • Negative value lines: For a more specific discount (e.g. to one nominal code), you can add a line to your invoice with a negative value. Simply add the line as you normally would, but enter the value as a negative, and it applies that discount for you.

If you have a limited range of products or services you can also store discounts on an item by item basis as inventory items with negative values.
