Invoice Name Truncated

When looking at the invoices, despite having plenty of space to display it, the invoice name is severely truncated, as per the screen shot.

The invoice name field is 32 characters long.

It is populated automatically from the first line of the invoice (but you can edit this in the invoice and on the invoice list scerren).

Can I ask why only 32 characters when the screen will show plenty more.

So the invoice name field clearly accepts 255 character plus it’s only in the report does it seem to be truncated to 32 characters for no apparent reason. Could it please be made longer at least 2x that?

The invoice name field in the invoice is limited to 35 characters.

The invoice list displays the invoice name followed by …

We would not add the full first line of the invoice into the invoice name field as it is a none html field (the first line of the invoice is and some customers paste in tables etc into this field)

The invoice name is meant to only be a very brief description on the invoice.

Ok how do I replace the Invoice name, which isn’t very useful with the description of the first line in the invoices report?

I can sort by fields, but can’t seem to choose which columns I want, so to de-select the invoice name and replace with the description.

Is that possible?

The only columns that can be added to the screen are the ones shown below by clicking Modify columns in the top right

Is there any reason it couldn’t be extended. In many cases I’m getting the … and I’m missing or 1 or 2 characters to show what the invoice is.

There are no plans to extend this currently.
