Invoice Number “Estimatz”

Hi, does anybody know why my invoice number has changed to “estimatz”

After SG02230 you have typed “EstimatF” into the invoice number box.

The invoice number box is alpha numeric and will count on from that point.

e.g.

Estimatf
Estimatg
Estimath

On your next invoice type in the number you want it to start counting from and it will resolve your issue.

I expect what has happened is at some point you have entered the word “estimate” in the invoice number box when creating an invoice. If you override the number when creating an invoice QuickFile will take that as the start of a new sequence of consecutive numbers, so it would create the next invoice as “estimatf”, then “estimatg”, etc.

You can fix the existing invoice numbers by hand but in order to break the sequence you must set a new invoice to an all-digits number at the point of creation (not letting it create the invoice with the wrong number and then fixing it later).
