Issue when searching description for sales/purchases

Hi Everyone,

So I have noticed this on a few occasions that when I search for part of item description, it doesnt give me results, For example, If i have a description called “dogs” and search in sales/purchase description for “dog” it doesnt give me a result, even though the letters “dog” are part of the description for “dogs”. I have to specifically search it as “dogs”, only then do i get the sales or purchases with that word.

Is there anyway this can be updated so that it can give me results based on when i search dog.

I would depend on the type of search you are doing.

For example if it was a search in your sales invoice list you are doing a partial match search ("Dog from “Dogs” I would assume there was more in the description than the word “Dogs”)

Partial matching is where you would like to receive results when only part of the word matches. To do this simply add an asterisk character (*) to the end of your search e.g.

Brit * will return results with the text “British Gas ”.
