I’ve searched a few posts on this so I know that I cannot simply switch to Sole Trader from Limited and that I need to setup a new account.
What information can be ported across to the new account?
I have seen that contacts and suppliers can be switched but what about Invoices?
I reverted to being a sole trader in October last year and I’ve not actually added and expenses in from that date yet so I’m not too concerned by that as I’ll need to enter them anyway.
You’re correct that the accounts simply can’t be converted, but as you rightfully say, clients and suppliers can be (let me know if you need help with this part).
Invoices should not be transferred from the limited company to the sole trader, nor the other way around. This is because you are two separate legal entities and your accounts should be kept completely separate.
