Linking QuickFile with HMRC

Hi,

I have linked my QuickFile account with HMRC and it says it’s connected, however, when I go to submit a VAT return it says:-

You are not yet authorised to view this report for the VRN X . Please ensure your VAT number is correct and you have connected the corresponding HMRC Tax Account. If you have recently enrolled on the MTD scheme please allow 24 hours for HMRC systems to update.

I there anything else I need to do? My VAT number is correct and I have allowed 24 hours but it’s still not working.

Hi @Sam1,

Have you registered with HMRC for MTD and had the confirmation email from them?

I haven’t received it yet, but it says it can take up to 72 hours.

Once you have received the confirmation email/ Logged into HMRC directly to make sure that it is set up correctly, Then you will be able to submit your return through QuickFiles - Until the email is received it is my understanding that the set up is not quite complete and so won’t allow the submission
