Making a purchase on a credit card

Hi, sorry i am new to quickfile and wondered if anyone could advise please.

I have made some training purchases on a credit card, when i have entered these i have left them as showing unpaid and the amount is still outstanding - is this correct please?

If this is the case, when i make a payment how do i log this as paying the credit card so it doesnt show as additional income please?

The general process for this would be:

  • You’d have a bank account set up on QuickFile for your credit card (assuming it’s a business credit card)

  • Create a purchase invoice for the purchase

  • Mark the invoice as paid from the credit card account

The Credit card bank account should reflect your statement. A balance of -500.00 for example, would mean you owe £500.00 on the credit card.
